Be Responsive to the Soft Nudges of God

As you read this, the name of a person might pop into your mind. Consider that nudge to be of God. Follow through and be an agent of God's blessing.

Hearing the voice of God is not all that difficult, but don’t despise the small beginnings. If you are willing to obey the wee small voice, He will take that as a sign that you are genuinely interested in what He has to say. Hearing His voice and not following through on His directives will eventually dull your spiritual senses to the point that you can’t hear His shouts, no matter His whispers. Here’s something you can practice today!

As you read this, the name of a person might pop into your mind. Consider that nudge to be of God. Follow through and be an agent of God’s blessing. Drop them a line or call them, let them know you are thinking about them and ask if you can pray for them. As you listen to them, ask God to show you how you can practically help them. Don’t just say you will pray for them, pray for them right then and there. Your simple act of obedience could be the answer to their prayers.

We all have random names pop up during the day, people we haven’t thought about for a while, people with whom we perhaps need to rebuild a relational bridge. Pick up the phone; just don’t text them.

They might be a shut-in, an old friend going through health issues, or a workmate who doesn’t seem quite like themselves of late. Take that random thought as a whisper from God.

The Creator of the universe, the one who holds all the stars in his hand, carries us in his heart. He knows us by name. He is intimately acquainted with every thought, hears every heart cry, understands every motive of our heart, and loves us still. Is He asking you to be an ambassador of that love today?

Thank you for your prayers. God came through in a big way to cover expenses for the next month. there are still a couple of things that will come up in early December. Click here to find ways you can help. Most of all, please pray!!
