Continuing our Series on Prayer

Have you ever felt like you entered a time vortex where a second feels like an hour during a prayer meeting? Have you ever wondered why your weekly prayer group rarely sees fresh faces? If someone new happens to stumble in, they don’t stick around after a couple of weeks. Is it your breath? Is it the stale coffee?

I’m digging into the vault this week and would love for you to read this recently updated article on small group prayer and intercession guidelines. I gathered most of these tips while serving with Youth With a Mission. Intercessory prayer was a bedrock foundational stone of the mission organisation from its inception. It continues to be a mainstay of every YWAM base around the world. If you can keep young people, mostly under the age of 30, engaged and focused in prayer and intercession, you must be doing something right.

Here are some tips that will coax you into discovering just how exciting and satisfying coming together in concentrated, focused prayer can be. Hopefully, you will be encouraged and inspired. Maybe you can let go of painful experiences from the past and move on to a faith-filled future in prayer. Click on the link below!

Helpful Tips for Faith-filled, Hopeful, and Productive Prayer Meetings

Every Monday at 5:30 PM MDT, I host an informal discussion group on the Zoom platform. You are most welcome to join us. We are currently beginning a series on prayer. Please use the contact form to message me with your email address and a brief explanation of why you’d like to join in if you have not contacted me already. I will have a waiting room enabled. If I don’t recognise you, I won’t add you to the call to ensure the safety and privacy of the group.

Sign up for my weekly email that not only includes a devotional but also seven quotes from prominent authors, speakers, and heroes of our faith. I do not use this mailing list for any other purpose!

From November 2020 forward, all Bible verses attributed to the NASB version unless otherwise indicated.
